FAQ
when is the best time of day to shoot?
I usually recommend shooting during "golden hour" (the hour after sunrise or before sunset) the light is soft and flattering, creating dreamy natural images. I have this times pre-selected in my booking calendar, there is only one time slot per day so they go quick. If this time doesn't suit, send me an enquiry on a time that does.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Nelson, However I love exploring new locations. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 4 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). Depending on the package you have chosen (e.g 6 images) You hand select 6 images from the full gallery. with the option to upgrade or add on.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes - A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and time. The remaining balance is due a week before your session
What should I wear?
once you book, I'll send you a styling guide with tips on colours, textures, and outfit coordination. Also feel free to send me photos of your pre-selected outfits and I will offer my advice on what suits the scene and you.
what if the weather is bad?
Don't worry! if the weather isn't ideal, we will reschedule at no cost. I'll keep in touch leading up to your shoot to make the call together.
where do the sessions take place
Session can be outdoors at a location we choose together, or at your home if you'd like a more intimate life style feel. I'll also provide a location guide with my favourite spots to help you decide.
